Stampbord BLOCK

Step 1: Start by taping down painter’s tape along the surface edges of the BLOCK. Paint the wooden edges of the Stampbord™ BLOCK with acrylic paint. Pick a color that coordinates with the textured papers you are using. Allow to dry.
Step 2: Next, stamp onto the 1"x1" and 2"x2" Stampbord tiles with stamps and black dye ink. Allow to dry.
Step 3: Spray all dry stamped tiles with Glimmer Mist in a variety of colors. Once you have your desired effect and color variation, allow to dry. The more you spray, the darker the colors will be. To give the tiles a thick, shiny coating, emboss them using the VersaMark embossing inkpad and UTEE. Set with heat gun and allow to dry.
Step 4: (4a) Create a colorful background on the BLOCK by using textured papers and acrylic paint. Collage torn sections of textured paper onto the BLOCK using Mod Podge to glue the papers down. Then, apply several acrylic paint colors with a brush or sponge to bring out the textures in the paper. (4b) Using a darker color, paint around the outer edges to frame out the collage. Seal the whole surface with Mod Podge when you are satisfied with the background.
Step 5: While your BLOCK surface is drying, add color to the sides of your tiles with the Krylon gold leafing pen. Color the outside edges as well as all four sides on the top of the tile. Allow to dry.
Step 6: Stamp a quote on the bottom left of the “square” with the black dye ink.
Step 7: Place the 2"x2" tile in the center of the Block. Arrange the 1"x1" tiles around the center tile making a square, as shown in Step 5. Glue tiles to the BLOCK with Mod Podge. You can now hang on your wall to add colorful art to any room in your house!
